I am a lifelong cyclist and bicycle fixer and after many years working in industry across Europe as an Electrical Engineer and IT Consultant I decided to change direction. I trained at The Bike Inn to become a City & Guilds qualified bicycle mechanic and set up Cheshire BikeFix in 2017 with the aim of providing a personal, friendly, affordable and quality service to cyclists of all kinds.
As a passionate advocate of cycling for transport, health, sport and pleasure I am very aware that people become attached to their bikes and it’s most important to maintain them properly to ensure reliability, safety and optimum performance.
I personally use five bikes regularly – a Planet X carbon racer, a Trek winter bike, a Brompton folder (can be carried on trains without booking), an old mountain bike and a Hewitt tourer which has been everywhere including Lands End – John O’Groats and a mammoth trip from my house to Istanbul and back through 15 countries.
Living in Cheshire is brilliant for cycling and there are many beautiful rides throughout the county and in North Wales to suit all types of rider. There are also many active clubs and events and some brilliant cafes.
